My Birthday! in the last year of 7,499- before the Millennium
Related to country: Ethiopia

This is to thank Taking It Global for your kind message!

Wow! Wishingyou you a happy African and Ethiopian Millennium!

This is another morning for reflection. I am blessed to be a member of the global family of 6.5 Billion people scattered around the globe.

Global climate change is creating a new awareness of the global village concept and I am aware of the challenges of energy, water and other resources that are likely to make our planet a rather difficult place to live in.

The idea is to be thankful on your birth day and I am grateful for my parents who chose to share their genetic pool with me. I wonder how much of it I have managed to make good use of, but I have also shared it to my three children.

I want to reflect on the global population and ecology as part of this year's birthday communciation.
This is the year of the last three months of the African/Ethiopian Milennium as we celebrate it on September 2007. This is 7499th year, taking 5,500 before christ and 2,000 after Christ. That mens we are at 7,500 the begining of the 8th Millennia in Ethiopian/African Calendar.

One wonders how Africa and people of African descent are fairing after 7,499 years of continous existence according to Ethiopian Calendar?

The Chinese lead with about 1.5 Billion, followed by the Indians, 1.3 Billions and Africans by 1.1 Billion. This interesting figure is not reflected by the positive contribution of these great people. Most contiinue to live in poverty, ecological calamities and rather depressing human relationships. Africa by far the richest continent interms of natural resources, be it minerals, plants and animals fares very poorly.

Global energy challenges and human behavior is going to be the most critical event of this Millennuim.
So, here I am sitting in North America and admiring the beutiful spring weather and rather cool work environment and thinking of other Billions of people with who I share this planet of ours.

May the new Millennium bring harmony, peace, prosperity for all people of the world and especially for the poor Africans who have serious challenges of ecology, education and the economy.

May Africans learn how to mange the minerals, oil, plants and animals towards the welfare of all humanity!

That is the challenge. I envite readers to review my blog and web site at www.globalbelai4u.blogspot.com, and www.SolomonicCrown.org for additional information, about some of my concerns and interests that I want to share with all of you.

With love and respect to all, I remain;
